Researcher. Educator. Parent.
Building emotional resilience in families

Resilience is the ability to cope, and even thrive when things get tough.
Studies of people who lead happy, successful lives despite adverse circumstances show that they have certain skills and resources that make up resilience. By intentionally growing these skills, we can set ourselves up for coping with challenges and difficulties that inevitably come our way, find peace and connection even in the darkest days, and become stronger and wiser from these experiences.

In my work as a researcher, educator and parent, I focus on the following building blocks for inner resilience and sustainable well-being.

GROW
Emotional Intelligence
PRACTICE
Self-compassion
SAVOR
Joy
REGULATE
Shame
FOSTER
Connections
PROMOTE
Social and Emotional Learning

My work focuses on helping families grow emotional resilience. Integrating research on emotional intelligence, positive psychology and self-compassion, I teach practical, everyday strategies that help parents and teachers grow skills that lead to sustainable well-being and resilience.
